SINGAPORE'S HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE TO TURKEY, 28 OCTOBER 2011
The Singapore Government will provide a humanitarian relief package worth US$50,000 to Turkey, following the earthquake that struck the province of Van on 23 October 2011.
The funds will be channelled through the Singapore Red Cross for emergency relief supplies.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong wrote to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on 24 October 2011 to convey his condolences to the victims of the devastating earthquake.
