MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS PRESS STATEMENT: SINGAPORE'S CONTRIBUTION TO FAMINE RELIEF EFFORTS IN THE HORN OF AFRICA
The WFP has reported that severe drought and famine in the Horn of Africa have threatened the lives and livelihoods of millions of people in that region. In response to appeals by the governments of affected countries and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the Singapore Government will be contributing US$50,000, through the WFP, to support famine relief efforts in the Horn of Africa.
