MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS PRESS STATEMENT: SINGAPORE'S RECOGNITION OF THE NEW STATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH SUDAN
The Government of Singapore welcomes South Sudan's entry into the United Nations as a sovereign and independent state and the UN's 193rd member. Singapore congratulates His Excellency President Salva Kiir and the people of South Sudan on this historic occasion and wishes South Sudan well as it embarks on its journey of nation-building.
