Visit to Singapore by Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Oil and Information of the State of Kuwait, 10 - 13 February 2010
The Minister of Oil and Information of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is visiting Singapore from 10 - 13 February 2010, as a representative of the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jabir Al-Sabah, to attend the opening ceremony of the "Treasury of the World" Exhibition held at the Asian Civilisations Museum.
This morning, Sheikh Ahmad met with Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, and Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. In the afternoon, Sheikh Ahmad called on President S R Nathan and Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong at the Istana.
Sheikh Ahmad and our leaders had broad and wide-ranging discussions, and welcomed the healthy exchange of high-level visits that have underscored the warm bilateral ties between Singapore and Kuwait. President expressed appreciation for Kuwait's generosity in displaying the "Treasury of the World" exhibition in Singapore. Senior Minister Goh and Sheikh Ahmad discussed a wide range of international issues, as well as ways of furthering economic cooperation between Singapore and Kuwait. Both sides also reiterated their commitment to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation.
