Dear Prime Minister

            Please accept my warmest congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

            Egypt and Singapore enjoy close and longstanding bilateral relations, underpinned by good cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels. We had an exchange of State Visits and several high-level visits over the last few years. I recently had the honour of hosting the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar His Eminence Dr Ahmed Al Tayyeb in Singapore. Such visits buttress the bilateral relationship. I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you in Singapore in the near future.  

            I wish Your Excellency good health and every success in your new appointment.
