Your Excellency
On behalf of the people of the Republic of Singapore, I offer my warmest congratulations on your re-election as President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. I wish Your Excellency every success as you build on your achievements from your first term.
Egypt and Singapore enjoy a close and longstanding relationship. Ties at all levels remain very good, and were further strengthened by the exchange of visits between Your Excellency and my predecessor in 2015 and 2016 respectively. There have also been ministerial level visits by both sides. Singapore will continue to work with Egypt to promote stronger cooperation in various areas including trade, investment, human resource development, people-to-people exchanges, and inter-faith understanding.
Please accept my best wishes for your good health, and I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to strengthen bilateral ties for the benefit of our two countries.
